New laws on cards: Chief Minister Raut

Birgunj, June 23 (RSS): Chief Minister of Province No. 2 Lal Babu Raut has said that the province government was working to formulate bill on province police.

Inaugurating the expanded meeting of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Province No 2 in Birjung on Saturday, the chief minister said that 50 per cent of the women participation would be ensured in the province police act.  

The chief minister also shared that province civil service act and technical service act would also be brought soon.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Raut said that postal highway and Sunkoshi diversion should be constructed for the development and prosperity of the Province No. 2 and urged the donor agencies to make investments in the province since it has immense potential for development.

Raut also said that the Province No. 2 has announced to establish the Province Journalism Academy and expressed the confidence that the move would help develop journalism sector.

On the occasion, journalists Shankar Khatiwada, Jagdish Sharma, Ishwarchandra Gautam, Sudarshan Pandey and Ramrajya Yadav were honoured for their contribution to journalism from Parsa.
