NAC aircraft averts major mishap in Jumla

Jumla, April 11: A Nepal Airlines Corporation aircraft with call sign 9N-ABU averted a major mishap at the Jumla airport on Monday.

The incident took place as the aircraft was about to take off for Nepalgunj from Jumla at around 1:30 pm. Just when it was about to leave ground, the crew members witnessed a problem and stopped it, according to Chief of the Civil Aviation Office in Jumla Pawan Shrestha.

A technical problem arose after the wire connecting the nozzle gear of the aircraft snapped, captain of the aircraft JN Niroula said. All passengers on board the aircraft are safe. “Alertness by the crew saved our life”, passenger Udiram Dangi. The aircraft will resume regular service following maintenance on Tuesday. RSS
