Urlabari, July 19: A woman here died on the spot when she was hit by a truck early this morning. The deceased has been identified as Jasu Tamang, 37, of Damak-8, Jhapa.

The fatal accident occurred at around 4.45 am while she was taking a morning walk.

Bhupesh Rai, 31, of Urlabari-3 has been injured in the accident and is receiving treatment at a local Araniko Hospital. A truck (Ko 1 Kha 3570) bound for Kakarvitta from Dharan hit them near the Mawa Bridge along the border of Morang and Jhapa districts. Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver.RSS
