PM pledges to strengthen national unity

Kathmandu, Aug 10: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to strengthen internal national unity along with the enforcement of the constitution.

During his meeting with the Reporters’ Club representatives reached the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar this morning to congratulate Dahal on his election on the new head of the government, he vowed to make greater efforts to address the Madhes issues through a consensus and strengthen the national unity.

Underlining the need of holding local, provincial and federal elections on time to safeguard the country’s achievements, he hoped for support and cooperation from all sides for the same.

He expressed his concern over a delay in carrying out the post-quake reconstruction works and said he had already directed the government secretaries to provide the relief assistance to the earthquake survivors within the next 45 days.

He expressed his hope that the government would get a full shape soon and new projects of economic development would be implemented. The PM further vowed to control black market and price rise, and assured of the implementation of minimums wages recommended for working journalists. RSS
