Kathmandu, Sept 9: Today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has been postponed due to lack of quorum.
Speaker Onsari Gharti directed the employees of the Parliament-Secretariat to count the number of parliamentarians after Lawmaker Dilli Raj Kafle raised question over quorum in the meeting.
The meeting was postponed after only 126 members were present in the meeting.
Saying that at least 149 members were necessary to table any proposal for a decision, Speaker Gharti said that bills related to judicial council, judicial administration and judicial commission were removed from today’s agenda.
The next meeting has been scheduled for 11:00 am, September 11. RSS
