Karan Thapa, 21, of Tikapur Municipality-2 came under the attack of an unidentified group at 11.45 pm on Thursday when the Holi festival programme was ongoing at the local open-air-theatre.

The programme was organised by the Sanskritik Samaj Tikapur, a local organisation.

Thapa, who sustained fatal injuries in the khukuri attack, succumbed to his injuries at Tikapur Hospital, police said. Police has held four people suspecting their involvement in the killing.
