Srikumari Gurung of Bhujung in Kwahola Sothar-4 died after she was hit by the speeding micro-bus (Ga. 1 Kha. 2476) at Purano Bank Chowk of Besisahar market. Seriously injured Gurung died on the way to the hospital.

Four other pedestrians were injured in the incident and of them Mamata Gurung of Chitwan has been taken to Pokhara for treatment. Others including Roshan Gurung, Anjali Ghale and Dikshya Ghale are undergoing treatment at the Community Hospital in Besisahar.

The micro-bus driver fled the scene following the accident and a search from him is underway, Chief of the District Police Office, Lamjung DSP Padam Bahadur Bista said.
