The local administration clamped a curfew on Saturday in view of the prevailing tense situation following the death of a temporary police recruit Bibek Aidi in a police firing on Friday.

Chief District Officer, Badrinath Gaire, said that the curfew has been imposed again as there was no sign of the tense situation coming under control.

Meanwhile, a discussion was underway at the DAO among the victim side, civil society, political parties and the DAO itself to resolve the matter, said Gaire.
