Makalu Rural Municipality chair Khadga Katuwal, Suresh Rai of Pathibhara and Subaschandra Kuinkel are among those killed in the accident. Other deceased are sociologist Arjun Basnet and engineer Sudip Dhakal, but their addresses are yet to be ascertained. The sixth victim is the jeep driver, whose complete address is awaited.
According to Chief District Officer, Shibaraj Joshi, the jeep (Ba 5 Cha 1309) was heading towards Dobhan of Bhotkhola from the district headquarters Khadbari when the accident occurred.
