The far-western villages that were seen with greater excitement during the grand festival of Bijaya Dashami and Deepawali now are getting empty.
Locals who have come home from other districts and abroad for celebration of the festivals are gradually returning to their works and other engagement outside the district.
Nirmal Rawat, a local of Jorayal rural municipality, said the rural areas here are becoming the habitat for old-age people, women and children with youth force returning to their works outside the district or the country. “There was full of excitement in villages when our friends and relatives came home for festive celebrations.
