Chitwan, Aug 26 (RSS) : The District Administration Office, Chitwan has prohibited gathering of more than five people in and around Chitwan District Police Office. 

Issuing an order to this effect, the DAO Chitwan on Sunday enforced prohibitory order from 6.00am today. 

In the order issued by Chief District Officer Jeetendra Basnet, it is stated that the demonstrators demanding the release of Television programme presenter Rabi Lamichhane and others would threat law and order. 

Demonstrators have hit the street demanding the release of Lamichhane, Yubaraj Kandel and Ashmita Karki who are in judicial custody in course of the investigation into the suicide case of journalist Shalikram Pudasaini. 

In view of possible threat to peace and security, the DAO issued the order prohibiting gathering of more than five people in a place. 

“The order has been issued with effect from 6.00 am on August 26 until another notice so as to avoid possible riot and confrontation in the areas where the case is being investigated for judicial dispensation”
