
Kathmandu, July 7 (RSS): Former Foreign Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat called on Myanmar’s International Cooperation Minister U Kyaw Tin in Yangon, the capital city of Myanmar, today.
During the meeting, matters relating to mutual interests and relations and exchange of bilateral assistance were discussed between them. According to the former minister, the meeting also focused on the discussions about cultural, religious and other similarities between the two countries.
As the former minister said, he realized that the Burmese and Buddhist followers there had a great faith towards Nepal, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. Following the meeting, the two jointly inaugurated the seventh meeting of Non Resident Nepali Association, Asia and the Pacific region in Yangon. The two-day event is attended by NRNA leaders and representatives from Asia and the Pacific region.
