Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the authorities concerned to take action against those involved in keeping in chain lawmaker Resham Chaudhary during the treatment at hospital.

Chaudhary has been serving jail sentence in connection with the Tikapur riots in which nine persons including a child were killed.

PM’s Press Coordinator Chetan Adhikari informed that PM Oli telephoned Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi to take action against those involved in chaining lawmaker Chaudhary admitted in hospital for treatment. PM has asked Chief Secretary Regmi to immediately remove the chain from Chaudhary’s foot, Adhikari added.

Lawmaker Chaudhary has been receiving treatment at Bir Hospital.
