Minister Pokharel leaves for Thailand

Kathmandu, April 20: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel has left for Bangkok, Thailand today to take part in the Nepal Festival.

The Festival, jointly organized by Non-Resident Nepali Association and Nepalese embassy, is going to kick off from tomorrow at the Central World and runs through April 25.

The five-day Festival is aimed at promoting the bilateral economic ties between Nepal and Thailand.

Moreover, the event also aims to promote Nepal’s tourism through various cultural and tourism related activities like food festival as well as trade exhibition.

Minister Pokharel, as the Chief Guest, will inaugurate and address the Festival.

Apart from celebrating friendship between Nepal and Thailand, the Festival will also pay tribute to those killed in the April 25 Gorkha Earthquake.
