
Pokhara, May 6: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Kharel has reaffirmed that the incumbent government is working for the formation of a new national unity government.
At a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski Chapter in Pokhare Friday, Minister Kharel spoke of the need for national consensus based on transparency and openness.
Reaffirming the ruling party CPN (UML)’s commitment towards the 9-point agreement reached last night with coalition partner UCPN (Maoist), Mr Kharel, a UML leader, clarified that there won’t be any qualm over the latter leading the new government as UML has also accepted leadership of NC.
On the occasion, Minister Kharel also shared that a total of 138 new laws were going to be formulated to bring the new constitution into effect. RSS
