Kakadvitta, Morang, May 7: A baby wild elephant has been found dead today morning at Thoplebiran Community Forest in Mechinagar-4 in Jhapa district.

The 10-year-old male elephant is found dead due to electrocution, according to the District Forest Office, Morang.

A joint team of the District Police Office, Morang and the District Forest Office in the district reached the spot and confirmed the death of the wild beast found electrocuted.

Last year, another wild elephant was found dead at Bahunidanda in the district. More than two dozen of wild elephants were reported dead in various places in Jhapa and Morang district since 11 years. RSS
