
Kathmandu, May 7: Members of Parliament representing various political parties have pointed out the need to bring effective and result-oriented policy and programme, and allocate sufficient budget for the quake victims in the budget for the new fiscal year.
Speaking at the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today, MPs said the government has failed to provide compensation to the quake survivors even after a year, and hence the budget should be focused on addressing their problems.
The budget should be practical and easy to implement as policy and programmes that cannot be implemented is of no use for the people. Some MPs also called for special attention to cooperatives sector for economic prosperity of the country, and utilization of micro capital.
Expressing their views at the meeting today were MPs Arjun Narsingh KC, Keshav Badal, Surendra Kumar Karki, Bhaskar Bhadra, Hariraj Gyawali, Rajya Laxmi Shrestha, Durga Poudel and Shyam Kumar Shrestha. RSS
