Dolakha, May 10: Minister for Information and Communications, Sherdhan Rai, has said the local bodies’ election would be held in the month of October/November as mentioned in the government’s policies and programmes.

Inaugurating the third district convention of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities District Coordination Committee here Tuesday, Minister Rai said local bodies’ election was essential to curb the illegal activities emerged of people’s representatives.

He further said that local bodies’ election would not be obstructed at any cost.

Stating that the government presented the policies and programmes in the Legislature-Parliament as per the new constitution, the Communications Minister claimed that the budget to be presented by the government on May 28 would be the best budget.

Minister Rai argued that the budget would focus country’s prosperity and sustainable development. RSS
