Panchthar, May 12: Nepali Congress Central Committee member Dr Shekhar Koirala has objected the decision of the government to construct the Nijgadh-Kathmandu fast-track with internal investment.

Speaking at a programme organised on the occasion of the 27th establishment day of the Nepal Teachers’ Association at Phidim of Panchthar on Thursday, Koirala argued that it was not right for the state to construct the fast track itself as a case relating to it was under consideration at the Supreme Court.

He further said that the policies and programmes presented by the government were very difficult to bring it into practice. The NC leader said that the NC has now been playing the role of a watch dog by remaining in the opposition but could join the government if necessary.

Leader Koirala described the nine-point deal signed between the CPN (UML) and UCPN (Maoist) as a ‘stunt’. RSS
