Dailekh, May 14: Geeta Thapa, 35, of Pipalbot VDC-4 died when a landslide buried her house last night.

The landslide had buried her house while she was preparing meal.

Her 58-year-old mother Dhana Devi also sustained minor injuries in the incident.

It is noted that the landslide had swept away four houses in Dailekh district and five along the border of Kalikot.

Ranga Bahadur BK had gone missing in the landslide and search for him is underway, said Sub Inspector at District Police Office Dailekh Bir Bahadur Oli.

Chief District Officer Luk Bahadur Chhetri, who made onsite obervsation of the landslide site, has granted Rs 25,000 as an immediate relief to the deceased’s mother.

The landslide had also swept away a tractor and a motorbike. RSS
