Ratnanagar, May 17: Five people have been injured in a road accident that took place at Bharatpur of Chitwan in the late evening of Monday.
Of them, condition of three, who are from a single, is critical, the District Police Office Chitwan said.

The accident happened when two motorcycles (Ga 4 Pa 3918 and Na 17 Pa 5721) were hit head-on by a pickup van (Ga 1 Ja 5706) on the slope of Bharatpur-10 at around 18:00 pm.

The injured are identified as motorcyclist (Ga 4 Pa 3198) Shreeram Kattel, 50, of Bharatpur 12, his spouse Narayani, 45, and daughter Sandhya. They both were pillion riders on the motorcycle.

Others injured are Bijay Neupaune, 18, and Sumakar Bhandari, 20, of Bharatpur-7. The injured are undergoing treatment in Chitwan Medical College and the police have arrested the driver of a van involved in the accident. RSS
