Gaushala, May 17: Former lawmaker Budhani Devi Mahato was severely beaten up by an unidentified group last night.

An unidentified group of 8-10 individuals possessing homemade arms and wooden clubs attacked her at her home, leaving her seriously injured. A former lawmaker representing from the UCPN (Maoist) is in serious condition, according to local UCPN (Maoist) leader Pikaru Paswan.

She is undergoing treatment in Janakpur Zonal Hospital. When contacted, the District Police Office Mahottari said that it was yet to be informed about incident .RSS
