Alliance to continue Kathmandu-centric agitation for 10 more days

Kathmandu, May 18: The Federal Alliance has decided to continue Kathmandu-focused agitation for 10 more days.

Today’s meeting of the Alliance took the decision in this regard, said Vice-Chairman of the Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party, Brikhesh Chandra Lal.

The Alliance, which has been launching agitation expressing dissatisfaction over delineation of provinces, would release its further programmes in a protest meeting scheduled at Shanti Batika this afternoon.

It would organise protest meeting at Lagankhel of Lalitpur on May 19, New Baneshwor on May 20, Soyambhu on May 21, Bouddha on May 22, Kritipur on May 23, Nyatpole on May 24, Balaju on May 25, Kalanki on May 26, Madyapurthimi on May 27 and Basantapur on May 28 under the Kathmandu-focused agitation.

The Alliance has released the programme to demonstrate in Birgunj on May 29 at the call of United Democratic Madhesi Front and in Pokhara on May 30 at the call of Tamuwan Struggle Committee.

The Alliance that picketed Singha Durbar for two day and official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar for a day in course of Kathmandu-centric agitation is organising a corner meeting at Shanti Batika today.

The Alliance, comprising 29 parties, has launched Kathmandu-centric agitation from May 14 to exert pressure to ruling parties to get their demands addressed. RSS
