
Baglung, May 18: Chief of Army Staff, Rajendra Chhetri, has said the Nepal Army would duly accomplish any responsibility assigned to it by the government.
Inaugurating the 14-km road from Baglung to Maldhunga under the Kaligandaki corridor here today, CoAS Chhetri said the NA would commit to the development activities.
The Kaligandaki corridor falls under the national pride project.
“NA has able human resource, and commitment to accomplish any duty,” he said, adding that the government could assign NA for the construction of the strategically important and comparatively difficult roadways.
He further said NA is delighted to have the opportunity to work in such significant development activities.
The CoAS also applauded the respect the concerned bodies and the general public have shown towards the NA. According to him, the Kaligandaki corridor, the fastest north-south link was not only strategically important but also significant in term of socio-economic terms for the country.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Parliamentary Development Committee, Rabindra Adhikari, hailed the NA activities, saying it earned reputation by accomplishing Maldhunga-Takuri section of the corridor in 10 months against the stipulated duration of a year. RSS
