Kathmandu, May 23: The Nepal Student Union (NSU) today demonstrated in front of the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar accusing the government of protecting educational mafia and promoting black market trading.
The demonstrators chanted slogans as ‘Proverb cannot ignite fire to cook’ and ‘People are finding it hard to live’ among others. They carried empty gas cylinders, jars and cooking utensils.
NSU, Kathmandu President, Manoj Vaidya, warned of launching nationwide agitation if the government does not heed to their demands.
NSU leader, Deepak Bhattarai, said the government was not concerned towards controlling the black marketeering, inflation and educational mafia.
Another student leader, Lila Ballav Dahal, accused the government of failing to address the woes of earthquake victims. RSS
