Rukum, May 25: A person died and two fell ill after consuming spurious home-made brew, locally known as Jaand, in the district today.

Prem Kumar Khadka, 35, of Raukhet Bazaar of Musikot Municipality – 3 had drank the spurious liquor on Friday morning at 9 am. He died in course of treatment at the District Hospital, Salle.

Lal Kumari Khatri, 45, and Shashi Ram Khadka, 55, who drank at the same place have fallen ill and their condition is reported to be critical. Lal Kumari is undergoing treatment at the district hospital while Shashi Ram was rushed to Nepalgunj

While Prem Kumari and Lila Kumari were taken to hospital, Shashi Ram went by himself. RSS
