Kathmandu, May 28: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress Dr Shashanka Koirala has said that the NC was positive towards Trade Union rights.

At a programme organised by Kathmandu District Council of the Nepal Trade Union Congress here on Friday, NC General Secretary Koirala said that his party has always respected the rights of trade union.

He also clarified that the new constitution has ensured rights of workers.

Similarly, President of Nepal Trade Union Congress, Khilanath Dahal, said that the NC has done lots of works in trade union sector as compared to other political parties and urged to give continuity to such works in days ahead.

Likewise, Kathmandu District President of Nepal Trade Union Congress, Ganesh Bhattarai, urged the NC to involve to resolve the problems as workers have lots of pain and problems.

Talking about the constribution of late Girija Prasad Koirala in establishment of Nepal Trade Union, different people including Trade Union Nepal Oil Corporation, Pradeepman Basi, Nuwakot President of Nepal Trade Union Shiva Devkota, among others said that the party should look the trade union in a special way.

Various workers’ associations including Nepal Transport Workers’ Association, Nepal Agriculture Workers’ Association and Kantipur Publication Pvt Ltd Employees’ Association Institution were honoured on the occasion. RSS
