Beni, May 28: People from west belt of Myagdi district are engaged in a campaign to protect Red Panda, an endangered species.
Locals from Mudi Gurja, Muna and Devisthan VDCs are engaged in a campaign to protect Red Pandas at local Jaljala and Malika community forests.
According to the District Forest Office, Myagdi, the locals have engaged to protect Red Pandas in two forests with the technical support if the DFO, Myagdi. There are 37 Red Pandas in two forests.
Loclas are involved in forest conservation and making arrangement of food and habitat suitable for wildlife at a time when wildlife have started leaving their habitat due to growing temperature as well their poaching. RSS
