Bhaktapur, May 28: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the NC should not get scared of the government’s executive budget which is supposed to be populist.
At the training for party’s town-level frontline cadres organized here today by NC Madhyapur Thimi Town Committee, he challenged the implementation of the budget no matter how populist it is.
NC is awaiting the opportunity to reach the government berth, he said, “It is not necessary that NC would always stay in opposition. It would ascend to power when NC garnered required number of parliamentarians. Efforts are being made to that end”.
At the programme, another central member of NC Min Biswokarma spoke the importance of concentration from all sides for the challenging job of constitution’s implementation.
Also speaking on the occasion, NC Bhaktapur District President Durlav Thapa, former Presidents Ganesh Man Shankhadhar and Mahesh Shrestha and general council member Madan Krishna Shrestha, among others, underlined the need of strengthening internal unity in the party.
