Agrawal picked as CPA’s chairman

Kathmandu, June 4: Pawan Kumar Agrawal has been unanimously elected as chairman of the Cricket Players’ Association (CPA), Nepal.

The first annual general assembly of the association at its office premises in Kirtipur which concluded today also picked 11-member new leadership for the next two years. Agrawal was former captain of the national cricket team (NCT).

Binod Kumar Das and Sita Rana Magar were picked as vice chairpersons. Likewise, sitting captain of the NCT Paras Khadka is general secretary.

Anil Kumar Mandal is secretary while Prithu Baskota is treasurer.

Similarly, Raju Basnet, Shakti Prasad Gauchan, Gyanendra Malla, Nira Rajopadhyay and Binod Bhandari are members.

Meanwhile, Nurbu Lama was elected unopposed chairman of the Nepal chapter of the Universal United Nepalese Taekwondo Federation.

The first annual general meeting of the federation in its office premises in Satdobato also formed a 21-member new working committee.

Phanindra Khadka is senior vice chairman while Bimala Bhandari, Harihar Pandey, Mohammad Sakil, Arjun KC and Nandu Bista were elected as vice chairpersons.

Likewise, Rabin Joshi is general secretary while Arjun Bhakta Rai is secretary. Similarly Dinesh Shrestha was picked as treasurer. RSS
