Kathmandu, June 18: Six journalists have been honoured with the ‘Rotary Journo Award’ instituted by the Rotary International District 3292 in cooperation with the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

The award was presented in six focus areas.

The awarded are Sudarshan Sigdel (education), Shailaza Singh (health), Pramod Kumar Tandan (environment), Radhika Dhakal (economic and community development), Shreejana Aryal (women and development) and Hari Sharan Lamichhane (Radio Nepal in Main Stream Journalism). They were honoured in recognition of their contribution in helping generate positive thoughts in the Nepali society through journalism.

Each of them received cash prize of Rs 25,000 and a letter of appreciation. RSS
