Kanchanpur, June 20: A woman was killed after lightning struck her at Bhimdutta Municipality in Kanchanpur district today.

The deceased has been identified as Deepa Bhatta, 22, of Bankheti of Kanchanpur Municipality-5 in the district, according to the District Police Office.

Superintendent of Police, Tulasi Prasad Adhikari, said that the incident took place when she was planting paddy seedling.

Similarly, Rekha Bhatta, 25, of the same place was also injured in the incident and has been receiving treatment at Mahakali Zonal Hospital. RSS
