
Kathmandu, June 22: Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has expressed his deep sorrow on the demise of Nepali nationals in a terrorist suicide bomb attack in Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan.
President Ghani expressed his grief over a phone call to President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari tuesday evening.
In course of the telephonic conversation, the Afghan President wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the ghastly attack, stated a press release issued here today by the President’s Office.
During the conversation, President Bhandari said that all peace-loving Nepali people have been saddened and stunned by the gruesome incident and expressed her confidence that the Afghan government would take necessary measures for the security of Nepali people there.
Noting that Nepal has been vehemently condemning all forms and manifestations of terrorism, she said Nepal’s collaboration with Afghanistan in the global fight against terrorism would continue in coming days as well.
On the occasion, the Afghan President pledged to emphatically provide all possible support to send the dead bodies of Nepali people to their home and provide treatment to the injured.
Some 12 Nepali nationals had lost their lives in a bomb blast carried out by a terrorist outfit in Kabul on Monday morning. RSS
