Bhaktapur, July 21: Minister for Information and Commutations Sherdhan Rai has said that the CPN (Maoist Centre) withdrew its support to government as part of its conspiracy to disturb the Chinese President’s upcoming visit to Nepal.

Speaking in a face to face programme organized in the district by Rafat Sanchar Club, Minister Rai blamed the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) saying they registered the no-confidence motion aimed at toppling the government even to stop the coming visit of Chinese President being nervous as the visit could bring the drastic change in Nepal’s development.

He argued that the coalition was made in a dark room and it could not produce good results for the people and country.

Rai further argued that the role of Speaker was not neutral as it could create tussle, saying that the Speaker’s role should be neutral and like a guardian, however, it doesn’t sound so.

He stressed on implementing the policy and programme as it was endorsed by all Nepalese.

Minister Rai, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said that the budget-related bills should be approved at first otherwise, CPN (UML), will not let to discuss on the no confidence motion.

Rai further said that the government has released the mass media policy aimed at supporting the media development therefore it should be implemented completely. RSS
