Kathmandu, Oct 1: Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narshing KC has said that the government was committed to ensure the social justice to the senior citizens.
Speaking a programme organized by the Senior Citizens Fund on the occasion of 26th International Senior Citizens Day here today Minister KC opined for utilizing the skills and experience of senior citizens for social development and prosperity.
He further committed to ensure such rights for the dignified life of the senior citizens.
Minister KC however, asserted that the constitution has incorporated the rights of all but further expected CPN (UML)’s support for the constitution amendment to meet the demands of agitating sides.
The fund treasurer Ram Krishna Karmacharya shared that there are about 2.7 million senior citizens in the country and they all are expecting to participate in each social activities.
Likewise, other speakers at the programme also highlighted to respect the senior citizens for social development and harmony. RSS
