Saptari (Rajbiraj), Oct 28: Sadbhawana Party Chairman, Rajendra Mahato, today demanded immediate amendment of the constitution.

During a brief conversation with the journalists in Rajbiraj, Mahato warned of launching another agitation in the interest of Madhes and the Madhesi people if the three-point agreement reached with the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) at the time of the formation of the present government is not addressed before the festival of Chhath.

He cautioned the government that his party’s support could be withdrawn if constitution amendment does not resolve the problems faced by Madhes. Mahato also spoke against holding local body elections without preparing the draft of federalism.

The leader further added that there has not been any discussion with the Madhesi Front over the process to remove Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Chief Lokman Singh Karki. RSS
