Pathari (Morang), Nov 11: The fire which broke out at the Century Spices Industry at Tankisinbari – 2 of Morang at 7 pm on Thursday was taken under control an hour ago.

Fire engines and police were deployed throughout the night to tame the fire, police said.

The factory belongs to former lawmaker and industrialist, Moti Dugad. The fire has spread to a large section which created the difficulty in controlling it, said Superintendent of Police (SP), Sandeep Bhandari, of District Police Office, Morang.

The fire broke out during welding, according to eye witness account. Fire engines from Biratnagar, Dharan, Damak, Itahari and Inaruwa were called for controlling the fire. The fire was taken under control at 9:30 am, police said.RSS
