Kalaiya, Nov 14: A woman died on the spot when a truck hit her bicycle on the road nearby Bakaiya river in Nijgadh Municipality in Bara district this morning.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Kalpana Gautam of Nijgadh-5 in the district, according to the District Police Office.

The accident occurred when a truck (Na 2 Kha 9341) coming to the marketplace from Nijgadh rammed cyclist Gautam.

Police have arrested truck driver Jokh Kunwar Chaudhary, 50, of Nijgadh-8 for further investigation into the case and impounded his vehicle, said Police Inspector Subash Kumar Gaire. RSS
