Parsa, Nov 21: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav has claimed that the implementation of new constitution could not be carried out unless it secures equal rights for all caste and communities, including Madheshis, Muslims, Dalit, women and marginalized.

Addressing a press conference organized by the Forum’s Parsa Chapter in Parsa today, Yadav blamed that the new constitution had empowered certain caste and communities.

The former Deputy Prime Minister further claimed that some political parties were spreading misleading message on naturalized citizenship with an ulterior objective to push the issues of Madhesh to backburner.

Reaffirming his notion that those candidates who were born in Nepal should be elected to the post of Head of the State, he opined that the naturalized citizens should be granted rights in line with the interim constitution of Nepal.

Leader Yadav clarified that the Forum would not endorse the four-point constitution amendment proposal as publicized for he argued the proposal would not resolve the Madhesh’s issue.

As for the State Re-structuring, Yadav held the view that no land in Terai belt should be omitted during the re-structuring and delineation of federal province should be considered as per the identity and capacity. RSS
