A Japanese organization conferred the annual award for the first time to a Nepali for outstanding social works.

Jigyan Kumar Thapa, 37, was received the award in recognition for outstanding social contribution in Japan despite being a foreigner. Thapa along with four other Nepali nationals were awarded amidst a ceremony held on Tuesday evening at Roppongi in Tokyo. RSS
