At a pogramme organised to release immediate reform action plan of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City here Friday, DPM and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Thapa, urged all to participate actively in local-level election taking place in the country after two decades.
He also directed the local bodies to be ready to hand over the strong, capable and well-managed governance to people’s representatives.
The DPM also urged the bodies concerned to protect buildings with archeological importance in Kathmandu, to construct child-friendly parks and to repair the roads in Kathmandu Valley which are full of potholes.
Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Local Development, Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, requested the employees to provide service to people in an easy and effective manner while Chairman of the Administrative Court Kashiraj Dahal stressed the need of paying attention on the guarantee of drinking water, electricity, security and waste management in Kathmandu Valley.
Likewise, Executive Officer Ishwor Raj Poudel clarified that he was committed to providing the services and facilities the city dwellers are entitled to. RSS
