Speaking at a press meet organised by the Press Union, Parsa chapter  in Birgunj today, leader Koirala said the election sans the participation of UDMF would be capable of triggering an ethnic war in the Tarai and giving opportunity for ‘extremist forces’ to establish their influence there.  

The Capital-based leaders have failed to realise the spirit of the Tarai people and their problems, he claimed.  He was of the view of ensuring the UDMF participation in the election as it, he said, could play a mediator’s role in addressing the Madhes issues.RSS
