Senior Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Deepak Thapa, said that the landslide has taken place some 30 metres towards Muglin from Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality -6. The landslide debris is being removed from both Chitwan and Muglin sides using excavators.

Hundreds of passengers have been stranded due to the transport obstruction. SSP Thapa said that it would take some three hours to remove the landslide debris. RSS
