Tapendra Rawal of the UML has been elected the mayor with 5,959 votes while his closest contender Lalit Bahadur Thapa of the CPN (Maoist Centre) got 5,610 votes.

Similarly, Keshari Bista of the Nepali Congress has been elected the deputy mayor with 6,236 votes. He nearest rival Asha Kumari Chaudhari of the Maoist Centre got 5,553 votes. RSS
