The second phase of the local level elections was held in 35 districts of Province No. 1, 5 and 7 on June 28. The Joint Election Operation Centre (JEOC) said that results of all 28 districts have been announced.

Currently, the vote count in 14 local levels is ongoing.

The Election Commission (EC) said that the vote count in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Kanchanpur, Rupandehi and Kailali districts are on.

As per the result of 5:45 this evening, CPN (UML) has won in 143 local levels, Nepali Congress in 117 while CPN (Maoist Centre) has emerged victorious in 38 local levels.

Similarly, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal has won in seven local level units, Nepal Loktantrik Forum in six, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in four, Rastriya Janamorcha in two and three independent candidates have bagged three local levels. RSS/Image
