21 – year – old Pushpa Devi Joshi, a native of Parasuram municipality – 6, was taken to the Jogbudha Hospital on Sunday night after experiencing labour pain and given delayed referral to Dhangadi.

Jogbudha Hospital admitted that Pushpa was referred to Dhangadi on Monday morning in such a state as she could not be treated in the hospital. She died on the road before she could reach Dhangadi, family members said.

She was admitted to Jogbudha Hospital on Sunday night. As the labour pain intensified the hospital cited its inability to deliver the child and referred her to Dhangadi.

The woman’s relatives have accused the Jogbudha Hospital of utter negligence leading to the delay and subsequent death. RSS
