Govt to work together with private sector : PM Deuba

He said, “Physical infrastructure development is the major basis of economic prosperity. The government wants to move ahead by coordinating with the private sector for this.”

Inaugurating the 19th annual general meeting of Nepal Contractors Entrepreneurs Federation here today, the PM assured to make investment-friendly environment in the country.

He also vowed to make timely reforms in the Public Procurement Act and Regulations and urged the contractors to complete the quality construction works in time. “Capital expenditure is not satisfactory. Questions have been raised even in the quality of the completed construction works. I want to draw attention of the body concerned towards this,” the PM said.

On the occasion, the PM Deuba felicitated President of Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) Shesh Ghale, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kulman Ghising, Mayor of Parshuram Municipality Bhim Bahadur Saud and Chairman of International Contractors Federation Mattheu Ti.
On the occasion, Minister for Law Yagya Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Irrigation Sanjya Kumar Gautam, Minister for Commerce Min Bishwakarma and others expressed their opinion for timely completion of the infrastructure works. RSS
