
NA members urged this in course of deliberation on policies and programmes presented by the government of May 11 in today’s meeting.
On the occasion, Dinanath Sharma said that all should support the policies and programmes as the government has brought the policies and programmes with an objective of prosperity in the country.
He claimed that the government has clearly mentioned about the balanced foreign policy, health, education, infrastructure and hydropower development.
Urging to bring a budget in order to make the local-level empowered, Radhe Shyam Adhikari said that the policies and programmes brought being based on centralized government system was disgruntling.
Adhikari further said that the policies and programmes has not paid attention on environment and areas of priorities.
Similarly, NA member – Nanda Chapagain, Ram lakhan Chamar, Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi, Jeevan Budha, Dil Kumari Rawal Thapa and Anita Devkota stressed on the need of paying attention over the issues of education, health and matters directly linked with the people.
They also urged to bring the issues left out in the policies and programmes clearly in the coming budget.
Likewise, other members – Bina Pokharel, Kabita Bogati, Yutrol Tamang, Durga Prasad Upadhyay, Raj Kumar Kunwar, Taradevi Bhatat and Balram Prasad Banskota stressed the need of implementing the policies and programmes in practice.
The NA meeting has been postponed till 11:00 am on Friday.
