Rupandehi, May 18: Security of Lumbini area has been beefed up in view of coming 2560th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day.

A team comprising Regional Administrator of the Western Regional Administration Office, Pokhara, Shankar Prasad Koirala and chiefs of security bodies have been deployed in Lumbini from Tuesday for the preparation to conclude the Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day successfully.

Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Bishnu Prasad Dhakal, said that Regional Administrator Koirala would stay there until the Buddha Jayanti concludes. The Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day is taking place on May 2. RSS
