Golbazaar (Siraha), June 9: A woman was killed and 26 other passengers injured when a passenger bus burst into flames after a collision with a truck this morning at Golbazaar of Siraha under the East-West highway.

The passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 8538) collided with a truck (Na 2 Kha 4294), said Inspector, Rajendra Upadhaya, of Area Police Office, Golbazaar.

An unidentified woman burned to death in the mishap while the injured passengers were rushed to various hospitals in Golbazar for treatment.

The fire has completely destroyed the bus and the passengers’ belongings. The continual rainfall is hammering the rescue effort, police said. RSS
